Product Features – Fire Lane Signs

What size do you need?
Three things that you need to consider in selecting the right size for your fire lane sign are: type of application, location, and desired viewing distance. You need to make sure that the sign stands out and is visible at all times. The viewing distance for 18" x 12" is 25 feet. This is the most common size used in parking lots. For even greater impact, choose our 24" x 18" size which is legible from 35 feet away to ensure your message is not missed.

What material do you need?
For Fire Lane signs, aluminum is the popular choice. Its durability and rust-proof property makes it ideal for a wide variety of applications. Steel is the strongest material, as it won’t easily bend. Plastic is abrasion-resistant, lightweight and easy to install.

Reflective or Non-Reflective?
Choosing what type of reflective material you need is dependent on how far away you want to view the sign, and if you’d like to comply with MUTCD Retro-Reflectivity Standards. MUTCD compliance is recommended for all public use areas. Our top-grade, High-Intensity Reflective material is MUTCD-compliant and is visible up to 1,000 feet away at night. Engineer-Grade Reflective gives your fire lane sign visibility for up to 500 feet. If the location where the sign will be installed is well-lit, then an economical choice is Non-Reflective Signs.

Why not laminate?
Enjoy a lifetime guarantee with our exclusive Duroshield Topcoat option. It’s the best defense against fading, graffiti, chemicals and extreme weather conditions. So for a few dollars more, why won’t you?

Mounting Guidelines
Our Fire Lane Signs are pre-drilled with two mounting holes centered on the top and bottom of the sign. These 3/8" diameter holes offer easy installation on all standard posts, fences, or walls.
