How to Safely Reopen the Office During/After COVID-19 - Safety Checklist & Guide:
As states and cities begin to lift lockdown and stay-at-home restrictions, it’s more important than ever before for employers and office managers to implement the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of all employees returning to work. View our recommendations below for more information on how you can implement Emedco’s safety solutions in specific areas of your office or workplace facility:

-Communicate new policies and procedures to employees with highly visible COVID-19 safety signage and labels right when they walk through the door.

-Encourage all employees to stay at home if they are ill by hanging infographic posters in high-traffic areas around the office. The Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) recommends that workers who have a fever and respiratory symptoms stay at home until 24 hours after their fever (100° F or lower) ends, without the use of medication. These posters can also be used to provide reminders to employees to cover coughs/sneezes and avoid touching their faces.

-Recommend that employees avoid handshakes, as that is a common way viruses and bacteria are transferred from one person to another, and to wear face-covering masks when entering, exiting, and moving around the facility.

-Establish a no visitor policy to restrict access to only essential personnel and deliveries.

-Remind employees to maintain a safe social distance of 6 feet apart at all times. Avoiding close contact with co-workers lowers your risk of occupational exposure. Cubicles and seats can also be alternated to ensure distance is maintained in work spaces.

-Promote good hygiene and handwashing practices with adhesive labels that can be posted on restroom mirrors, doors, or bathroom stalls.

-In lunch rooms and break areas: Employees should be reminded to wash their hands before consuming any type of food. Post notices to avoid sharing food or beverages, provide supplies to wipe down tables or counter surfaces when employees finish eating, and encourage employees to eat at their desks or away from others.
