What is the PRC Number? Why do you need it? How does it speed my order?

The PRC Number identifies your company as a particular type of customer. It is NOT your customer account number and WILL NOT identify you to our customer service representatives over the phone. We use the PRC number for tracking purposes and occasionally tie it to special promotions.

If you do not have a PRC number when you place an order, we will need to assign you one before processing your order through our internal system. So, if you have one, please provide it to save us a step, and get your order through faster

What are the different sign constructions? When would one construction be better than another?

All Emedco Traffic, Parking & Industrial Signs are available with an optional Duroshield lifetime guarantee for a small upcharge. Duroshield Signs provide the ultimate in strength and durability and will never fade, crack or peel under harsh conditions.

EMED offers many different kinds of signs, in many different constructions. Here is some general information to help you choose the sign that will best fit your needs. Our Traffic Signs come in reflective steel, reflective aluminum and reflective polylast. Our Parking Signs come in the same three reflective choices, and non-reflective versions as well. Each reflective sign is available in engineer-grade or high-intensity reflective sheeting. All signs are chip and fade-resistant.

Steel is the economical and "traditional" choice for Traffic and Parking Signs. Polylast can withstand extreme weather conditions and weighs 50% less than steel. Aluminum will not rust and is 1/3 lighter than a steel sign. It also meets most Federal/DOT specifications.

All of our Industrial Sign Constructions are durable and can be used both indoors or out, in a variety of work environments. Our six common constructions are adhesive vinyl, foam-adhesive vinyl, plastic, steel, aluminum, and magnetic. We also offer 2-way and 3-way polyplastic, reflective, and glo-mor (glow-in-the-dark) Industrial Signs for appropriate sections of our product line.

EMED's plastic construction is the most popular due to its versatility. It is the perfect choice for "general purposes" in and around your facility.

If choosing between adhesive vinyl or foam-adhesive vinyl, remember that adhesive vinyl works much like a bumper sticker and adheres to flat or curved surfaces. Foam-adhesive works better when adhering signs to a rough or irregular surface.
