The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA 1910.145) Specifications for Accident Prevention Labels require the use of safety labels to indicate and define specific hazards that, without identification, may lead to accidental injury to workers and/or the public or to property damage.

Use the guide below to determine what label classification is necessary for your application.


DANGER  WARNING  CAUTION  NOTICE  NOTICE

DANGER
Used for hazardous situations with a high probability of death or severe injury..

WARNING
Used for hazardous situations that have some probability of death or severe injury..

CAUTION
Used for hazardous situations which may result in minor or moderate injury..

NOTICE
Used for indicating a statement of company policy as the message relates directly or indirectly to the safety of personnel or protection of property.

SAFETY FIRST
Used for Indicating general instructions relative to safe work practices, reminders of proper safety procedures and the location of safety equipment..
